USA Boxing consists of 14 geographical regions, plus 4 armed services, for a total of 18 Regions.

There are 56 Local Boxing Committees (LBC’s). Our LBC in Connecticut is LBC 5, Region 1. Region 1 consists of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York (Metro, Adirondack, and Niagara) and New Jersey.

Our Headquarters is in Colorado Springs, Colorado and can be found at www.usaboxing.org

All amateur boxing shows and bouts in the United States are sanctioned by USA BOXING and must use the Official Rulebook found at the USA BOXING website. Click on the 2007 Rulebook on this page to view the current rules.

USA Boxing is the United States member organization of the International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA) and is solely responsible for the administration, development and promotion of Olympic-style boxing in the US.

Our goal in Connecticut is to educate and provide opportunities for Boxers, Officials, and Coaches while stressing the most important factor, safety.

USA Boxing athletes are both Male and Female and compete against boxers of their own age, weight and experience. They are taught life skills as well, learning discipline, respect, good sportsmanship, camaraderie, teamwork, and a sense of community pride and involvement.
